Primary Responsibilities:
- Main responsibility is assisting the division manager in the entire operation of the division. This position could also be filled with a department manager with the responsibilities designated by the division manager.
- Performs a variety of duties personally and/or supervises employees performing duties.
- Held responsibility for all activity within the division while they are on duty.
- Profit and loss of division.
- Reports to Store Manager and supervises subordinate staff.
- Training and evaluation of new and current employees.
- Customer Service
- Levels of stock and freshness of product throughout the division.
- Enforcing all company policies.
- Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices.

- Facility and equipment maintenance
- Opening and closing of the division.

Position: Deli Associate
Department: Deli
Reports To: Deli Department Manager
FSLA Status: Non Exempt
MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO APPLY
Position Summary:
Assisting customers with deli orders including sandwiches, hot foods, slicing deli meats and any other requests within this department. Perform a variety of food preparation duties other than sandwich making.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare a variety of foods according to customer orders or supervisors instructions, following approved procedures. Maintaining quality and company standards at all times.
- Slicing deli meat (no one under 18 years of age is to operate a slicer) according customers orders, weighing and pricing of deli meat.
- Portion and wrap sandwiches and other food items making sure that that it is identified correctly and properly priced, be aware of specials on food items.
- When not assisting customers be sure that all working and food prep areas are properly cleaned, maintained and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
- Transport dirty dishes and utensils in the dishwashing area.
- Wash, peel and cut various foods to prepare for cooking, serving or storing.
- Assist meat department with wrapping raw products for shelves.
- Any other jobs that the department manager assigns.
- Keeping items under hot food lamp stocked and rotated from breakfast to lunch.
Other Duties include:
- Assisting with special orders such as deli trays, party trays.
- Assist kitchen staff with maintaining prepared food cases.
- Brewing coffee and cleanliness and stocking of coffee area
Knowledge / Education:
Friendly and outgoing personality with strong communication skills for dealing with customers
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
May require lifting of heavy objects at times.
